Be strong and courageous

Have I not commanded you be strong and courageous. Do not be discouraged; do not be afraid, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Have I not commanded you be strong and courageous. Do not be discouraged; do not be afraid, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Let go of yourself, give your life up to follow Christ. What made Jesus’ disciples so great was that they lived for Jesus, they (in their human self) didn’t want to die or be embarrassed in front of the world but, they pushed that aside because Jesus was more important to them. This is one of my favorite quotes…

“Courage is not the absence of fear,

but rather the judgement that something

else is more important than fear”

-Ambrose Redmoon

And this one,

“Have I not commanded you

Be strong and courageous.

Do not be afraid;

Do not be discouraged,

For the Lord you God will be with you

Wherever you go.”

-GOD

If we live our lives completely for Jesus than we will have no need of fear. Jesus says that he has set us apart from the world. He said we are not of this world but are of God. SO where is the need for fear if we are “of God”? Why are we so afraid to do the right thing if it means pain, if God is leading our every step then why should we be afraid? Trust God. Step out in faith.  What are you waiting for? What are you afraid of? What do you have to lose? Worldly things mean nothing, NOTHING. By playing it safe we won’t gain anything. My challenge for you this week is to be courageous for God, push your wants and fears adisa and be the one God created you to be.

You. Were. Made. To. Be.

COURAGEOUS

  1. That’s some powerful message right there! Yeah, we say we want to follow Jesus but bail out when the going gets tough. Thanks for the reminder to be courageous. The quotes were beautiful! 🙂

    Blessings,
